The Washington State Urology Society is pleased to announce the call for submissions for the 7th Annual WSUS Resident/Fellow Scholarship. Deadline: Monday, May 6, 2024.
The mission of the WSUS is to enhance the delivery and quality of urologic care through education and advocacy.
Engagement of our young and future members is essential to the continued achievement of the WSUS mission and other state and national advocacy organizations across the country. Awareness of the important role of advocacy is crucial to the future of urology. In line with its mission, the WSUS offers an annual scholarship opportunity to fund a resident project that focuses on advocacy and/or the socioeconomics of urology. Projects that include patient education or quality improvement would also be strongly considered. Community involvement and regional advocacy such as visiting with our district and state representatives and/or attending relevant meetings would be looked upon favorably.
The resident who receives that award will be expected to deliver a 10-minute presentation about their project at the annual WSUS meeting.
The winner of the Resident Scholarship will receive the following: * Free registration to the 2024 Washington State Urological Society Meeting * Two nights room accommodations at the meeting * Meal stipend
Please make your residents and fellows aware of this unique opportunity and encourage them to apply.
Have them visit the WSUS website to apply for their free WSUS membership today to be eligible to participate in this scholarship opportunity.
Submissions need to be sent to the WSUS Executive Director via email [email protected]. All submissions will be forwarded as a group to the WSUS Executive Board for review and award selection for the May WSUS Executive Board Meeting.
