The Washington State Urology Society hosts meetings and events throughout the year for its members and actively participates in events and activities that are in alignment with our mission "To enhance the delivery and quality of urologic care through education and advocacy for patients and physicians."  Additional activities include outreach and advocacy on behalf of the patient community we serve

GENERAL INFORMATION
The annual meeting and membership retreat is a tradition dating back more than three decades.  A unique event that focuses on local and national issues affecting urological practices, our members  and the patients we serve.  

Plan to join the annual meeting to participate in lively discussions of the hot topics affecting your practice. Gain access to recent changes in coding and reimbursement guidelines to be confident you are accurately reporting and receiving effective results. Whether you are employed or practicing in an independent office, this is a Washington State event you will not want to miss.

​Annual Urology Health Policy Summit in Olympia

Once a year members of the Washington State Society and our Urology House of Delegates ascend on our State Capitol in Olympia to represent the needs of our specialty, practices and patients typically on the first Tuesday of February each year.  The society makes appointments with each participant's elected official offices.  Both lunch and an early dinner are served during the annual event.

Board Meetings

The Washington State Urology Society Executive Board meets quarterly and cordially invites dues paid members to attend and participate in the discussions.  Do to space restrictions, we typically are able to accommodate 2-3 member guests at each member.  Please contact us if you would like to attend a future meeting.

Regional Urology Community Meetings

WSUS leadership host urology community meetings around the state to hear the local issues affecting our member practices and their ability to provide optimal quality urologic care in their local communities   Membership round tables are conducted, advocacy issues and upcoming events for the society are shared.  When requested, a guest speaker is incorporated into the meeting.

Washington State Women in Urology: Leading Together

Fall Gathering
Each fall, more than 40 women in urology from across Washington State gather for an evening designed to reconnect, recharge, and celebrate the unique contributions of women in our field. These gatherings have become a cherished tradition—bringing together colleagues at every stage of their careers to share stories, mentorship, and laughter. Past events have included sunset dinners along Puget Sound, private experiences at Pike Place Market, cooking classes with a celebrity chef, and other memorable experiences that reflect the energy and creativity of this community.

During the Annual Meeting
Another favorite tradition takes place during the Washington State Urology Society Annual Meeting, when Women in Urology host a dedicated social event. These gatherings offer a chance to step away from the formal meeting environment and spend time with colleagues in a casual and laid-back setting. Activities have ranged from wine and chocolate tastings to salsa-making competitions and even axe-throwing—always creating space for connection, encouragement, and shared experiences.

Women in Urology in Washington State continue to lead the way by building relationships, supporting one another, and strengthening the future of our specialty. We warmly encourage all women in urology to join us at upcoming events and be part of this growing community.
