2026 WSUS Advocacy Day Tuesday, February, 3 2026
Join us for the 9th annual WSUS Legislative Day in our state capitol. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE ANNUAL EVENT This is a unique opportunity to meet your elected officials and learn first hand about state legislation that is affecting your patients and urology practices across Washington State. LOCATION: Mercato Ristorante (Lunch and Dinner meeting location) 111 Market St. NE, Olympia, WA 98501
PARKING: Free parking is available at the Farmers Market across the street from the restaurant.
TRANSPORTATION to STATE CAPITOL: There is a city bus shuttle (FREE) running every 10 minutes to/from Capitol that is a 4-5 block walk from the Mercato Ristorante
GENERAL TIMELINE: Pre-meeting activities:
Meetings with elected officials that cannot meet in the in afternoon (When you register with the WSUS Executive Director, let her know if you are available to meet with elected officials in the morning)
Observe committee hearings taking place in the House and Senate
Self-guided tours of our State Capitol
11:00-12:30 WSUS general advocacy meeting highlighting the legislative issues (affecting urology patients, practices and providers) at Mercado Ristorante 1:00 - 5:00 WSUS Members meet with their district offices and join others in additional meetings 5:00 -6:30 WSUS Board meeting open in to all members participating in district office appointments.

LEGISLATIVE PRIORITIES
The Washington State Urology Society actively engages in health advocacy for our members, our specialty, patients and communities we serve in support of our mission "to enhance the delivery and quality of urologic care through education and advocacy for our patients and physicians"
Access to quality and timely healthcare that is deemed medically necessary by the medical professionals providing the care to our urologic patients is at the core of our activities.
The WSUS is working with your local state representatives and senators along with the Washington State members of congress to address national legislative priorities set forth by the American Urological Association and the WSUS Government Affairs Committee.
