With Washington State advancing to Phase 3 and the high vaccination uptake among our providers, we are working to have our Annual Meeting in Person, working with the Sleeping Lady and their space adjustments to ensure social distancing. Since we are a small meeting, we will be able to easily be below the 50% capacity for our meeting and have further contingency plans.
The Chapel Theater (where we hold our meeting) has a 50% capacity (when using tables and chairs) of 51 persons. We typically are well below this number of attendees. Whereas in previous years the corporate sponsors were able to sit in the Chapel Theater during the lectures, we will have them virtually attend the lectures from their devices/computers to reduce the number of individuals in the Theater. WSUS members who do not want to be in the Chapel will be able to stream the meeting as well from their cabin or outdoors if desired.
Our corporate sponsors are also working with us to minimize crowds. Typically they are all in the Salmon Gallery outside the Chapel Theater, but to reduce crowds, we will have our Corporate Members (7 companies) only in the Salmon Gallery and have the remaining corporate sponsors in the Woodpecker Venue. Companies will also have the option of setting up a table/tent outside of the Chapel Theater with adequate spacing.
We will monitor capacity in the different spaces throughout the meeting.
You will still be able to enjoy evenings with the WSUS and your guests:
