9th Annual Urology Legislative Day — One Voice for Urology in Washington State
On Tuesday, February 3, 2026, the Washington State Urology Society (WSUS) proudly hosted its 9th Annual Urology Legislative Day in Olympia — a powerful reminder of what can be accomplished when urologists come together with a shared purpose.
Thirty-eight urologists from every region of Washington State gathered to speak with one unified voice for urology, collectively completing 70 meetings with elected officials representing 34 of Washington’s 49 legislative districts. The day was so full of meaningful conversations and back-to-back appointments that it was nearly impossible to capture everyone in a single photo — a challenge we were happy to have.
2026 Priorities: 1) Preserving Physician Practices and Medicaid Patient Access 2) Improving Transparency and Accountability in Prior Authorization 3) Supporting Health and Well Being for Boys and Men 4) Medical Title Transparency
Many participants were members of the 40-member WSUS Urology House of Delegates, a growing network of physician leaders who serve as direct liaisons between WSUS and their legislators as constituents. Their commitment strengthens our advocacy year-round and ensures that the perspective of practicing urologists and advanced practice associates are heard where policy decisions are made.
Legislative Day continues to demonstrate that engagement matters — and that when urologists show up, legislators listen.
As we look ahead, we invite you to be part of this momentum. Join us on February 2, 2027, in Olympia for the 10th Annual Urology Legislative Day, as we celebrate a decade of advocacy and continue building strong relationships on behalf of our patients, our practices, and our specialty.
