• National Chair of Urology for the Permanente Federation
  Dual leadership roles as Region Chief of Kaiser Permanente Southern California and Area Assistant Medical Director for Business Line & Finance for Kaiser Permanente San Diego.
• Past Chair of the AUA Public Policy Council from 2019-2022

• AUA Gallagher Health Policy Scholar (2013–2014), Dr. Rhee has also served as president of both the California Urological Association and the San Diego Urologic Society.
• Co-created the AUA Telemedicine Task Force in 2016. 
• Inaugural Section Editor for Urology Practice, focusing on health policy, author of over 100 publications in the peer-reviewed literature. 
• Key roles held across AUA committees, such as Legislative Affairs, State Advocacy, Workforce Planning, and Electronic Health Records. 
• Clinically, Dr. Rhee specializes in incontinence, urologic reconstruction, sexual medicine, and minimally invasive treatments for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). He held a clinical fellowship in urologic reconstruction and prosthetics.

​Vikram M. Narayan, MD, FACS, is a board-certified urologic oncologist with expertise in the surgical management of complex prostate, bladder, and kidney cancers using open, laparoscopic, and robotic techniques. He has a focused clinical and research interest in bladder and urothelial cancers and is internationally recognized for advancing novel intravesical therapies for BCG-unresponsive non–muscle invasive bladder cancer.

Dr. Narayan leads initiatives integrating advanced digital health technologies—including AI-driven clinical tools and innovative Apple–Epic integrations—to enhance surgical education, streamline provider workflows, and improve patient care.

Ian Thompson III, MD, MBA, completed his undergraduate studies at Texas A&M University and then returned to San Antonio for medical school at University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.  He completed his general surgery and urologic surgery training at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN and then returned to San Antonio to complete a fellowship in urologic oncology at UTHSCSA.  He then took a faculty position at UTHSCSA as Assistant Professor in Urologic Oncology.  After serving on faculty for over 2 years, he left academics to take a Chief Medical Officer position with Christus health and opened a private solo urology practice. In 2019, he started an urology-specific locums company which currently staffs urologists in 27 states.
