Most of us realize that good performance comes from good maintenance. Your body is no different. The information found in the WSUS Men's Health Guide will help guide you through the steps necessary to get the most out of life. If you have invested in a retirement plan for your financial future, why not invest in your body? After all it makes better sense to retire healthy and enjoy your future.

This is a guide for how to take care of your body. If you take care of your car and maintain it, why not do the same for your personal machine, your body. If you know you should, but haven't yet, this manual contains some easy recommendations for where, when and how to get started.
The Washington State Urology Society, along with the physicians and specialties represented in this manual want you to take care of yourself. Use this manual to find out how, and keep it for a handy reference.
Sincerely, Richard S. Pelman, MD Men's Health Chair Washington State Urology Society __________________________________________________________________________ WOMEN'S HEALTH
With the fast pace of life, it can be difficult for many of us to find the time to take proper care of ourselves. Although there is a plethora of health-related information available on the Web and in the media, it is often challenging to identify helpful and precise information on which to base our healthcare decisions.
Several years ago, the Men’s Health Initiative created a Guide to Men’s Health that has been very well-received. Consequently, it seemed fitting to proceed with a WSUS Women's Health Guide to provide brief and accurate information for the women in our community. Contained in this booklet is information ranging from nutrition, alternative medicine, cancer screening and treatment options to treatment of urinary incontinence and pelvic prolapse.
The Washington State Urology Society (WSUS) respects the importance of the movement toward “green” products as well as the growing demand for easily accessible information in our contemporary “high-tech” world. We also recognize that a large segment of our readers will benefit from a larger font size.
In striving to meet these needs and in order to provide maximal benefit to the community we serve, the WSUS has enthusiastically chosen to proceed with an on-line publication that allows our readers to zoom in on articles and print them as they wish.
The goal of the “healthzine” is to provide women with a reliable abbreviated resource to which they can turn for important women’s health care issues. Authors from across the State of Washington have been gathered to contribute in their respective fields to provide a reliable and useful source of information.
Every couple of months a new article will be added to this on-line health guide to provide new material on an active basis until the entire guide is available.
Again, if you would like to share any of this information with a friend, feel free to click the MENU button to email to a friend, or embed a copy of 'The Guide' on any other website, blog, or social networking site you may use.
